She visits again. It’s become more of a daily occurrence, even more so that Jeff would let her leave the camp without a bodyguard after she had talked it through with him.
Okay, maybe she had just threw a small, itty-bitty tantrum, but hey—it was purely for professional purposes.

“Heyo, Goggles!” She calls out as she bangs her fist on the door. Zoeya taps her foot against the ground, taking in the scenery of his castle as she waits for the techno-mage to let her in. It’s nice and bright and techy and magical and a big contrast from that of Blackrock Stronghold, and… she likes it. A lot.
She shakes her head, perking up at the sound of his voice as she hears the distanced muffle of a, “One sec!” and rapid typing.
The door pulls open and she glides inside, smiling warmly as Lalna immediately offers her a cup of coffee. She takes it greedily, almost spilling the hot drink all over his arm, and he chuckles. “Thanks.”
He nods, typing into his monitor to close the door before stepping into his office compound, “So, what’s on the agenda for today?”
"Not sure, I just came here to talk, really." Zoeya follows, shrugging and blowing an out-of-place hair out of her face. She scrunches her face together, saying rather thoughtfully, "You know, your castle looks like Disneyland."
Lalna raises an eyebrow at her, a smile playing at the corners of his lips, “Really? Disneyland?”
Zoeya nods and he laughs soundly as she proceeds to sip at her coffee.
"So… do you want to know how teleporters work?"
—
He leaves her off to do her own thing for a bit, setting off to rebuild another nuclear reactor since his old one had failed to work. He’d have to wait after the holidays, though, making at face at the brown and white wool that had taken the place of the reinforced glass that had made up his nuclear sphere.
Lalna sighs, mumbling to himself as he rummages through his chests for the needed items for the reactor.
—
Lalna’s head snaps up from the crafting table once he hears the zaps and excited exclamations from outside of his castle—“Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!” He peeks his head out the nearest window, lifting his goggles away from his face to get a proper look at the source of the distraction.
“Lalna! Look!” Zoeya zooms up to him from who knows where, a philosopher’s stone in hand, causing him to drop his goggles onto the floor and almost topple out of the window. Almost.
Failing to notice his surprised yelp at her outburst, she grabs at his arm and drags him away from the window to whatever has gotten her so excited.
Lalna reactivates his flying ring as they make their way outside of the walls of the castle, but still allows her to pull him to the designated area.
"Isn’t it magical?" She stops mid-air, a beam on her face as she overlooks her work.
"What’s—" He pauses in spot once he realizes what Zoeya had done.
All of the animals around his castle had been turned into mooshrooms. Not just one or two—all of them.
"Oh my god." He gapes at the sight—because, really? the boundaries of his castle was now overrun by some sort of cow-mushroom mixture—before shaking his head and chucking fondly at the red head.
“You’re absolutely crazy, you know that?”
She grins at him, eyes lighting up and Lalna can’t help but smile back, feeling a wave of happiness course through his body. Zoeya grabs his hand and pulls him over to the nearest mooshroom to demonstrate something, her tongue flickered out in concentration.
“You see, if you take a wooden bowl…”
As he looks down at their interlocked hands, feeling himself become flushed, Lalna deems himself kind of, sort of crazy too.
Just a little.
